Within Siemens Energy IT Global Value Office & Portfolio Governance we are driving overall project portfolio management for the global IT organization. With our holistic oversight of our IT project portfolio, we support the decision makers in ensuring alignment with the organization's strategic goals and objectives. Thus, we support them to determine, which projects to start at what point in time to ensure the most benefit for Siemens Energy and the best usage of our IT resources. Providing transparency and always analyzing the status quo of the project portfolio lets us identify need for action and present this to the management and stakeholders. To be able to do this we support and follow up with assigned project managers and create standard reporting and analysis monthly.

The IT Project Portfolio Manager is critical in ensuring that our organization's IT projects collectively deliver maximum value.

How You'll Make an Impact

• Project Portfolio Management ensuring strategic alignment and optimal resource allocation.
• Work closely with key stakeholders to understand business needs and priorities, and ensure they are reflected in the IT portfolio.
• Manage the evaluation, categorization, and prioritization of new and existing projects within the portfolio.
• Monitor and report on portfolio performance, including progress, risks, and value delivery.
• Foster a strong relationship with project and program managers, providing guidance and support as needed.
• Regularly review and propose adjustments to the IT portfolio to accommodate changes in business strategy or priorities to the relevant stakeholders.
• Support the portfolio governance and decision-making processes, ensuring effective and timely decision making.
• Drive continuous improvement of portfolio management practice.
• Preparation of Management Presentation (in PowerPoint).

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Project Portfolio Manager, Program Manager, or similar role.
• Strong understanding of project portfolio management principles and methodologies.
• Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work under pressure.
• Seeing the big picture but also able and willing to dive into details.
• Highly customer focused with great emphasis on positive outcomes.
• Confident with excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Working with different geographies across different time zones.
• Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
• English language mandatory.
• German language optional.
