Project Engineering Manager

A Snapshot of Your Day:

After a short alignment within the Project Management Team i.e., General Project Manager, Commercial Project Manager, and you on the topics of the project, you will have a call with customer's engineering consultant and your team on the technical details of the execution of the project. Afterwards you guide your international engineering team and partners through a design and scope review to clarify the essential interfaces between the disciplines and together you make certain to follow the project requirements. Subsequently, you will also have individual meetings with your team members on the scope, schedule, and cost for the Engineering disciplines. You conclude the day with a chat with the Site Management on engineering matters and clarify the focus areas for your Site visit next month.

How You'll Make an Impact:

• As the Project Engineering Manager, you are an integral part of the project management team to support the transformation of Energy with projects like the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) of Combined Cycle Power Plants and H2 and hybrid solutions in a global environment. Also, High Voltage Alternate / Direct Current projects (HVAC and HVDC projects) projects will be part of that scope. All these projects will support the decarbonization solutions of our planet.
• You can create the future of Energy in interactions with external partners (customers, consultants, authorities, suppliers etc.) and internal partners on technical topics.
• To have a working team and together work towards a common goal, you will lead, integrate, and coach the global Engineering team in a bid or execution project, comprising of various Engineering disciplines (i.e., electrical, controls & instrumentation, process, mechanical, civil, plant layout, etc.)
• You can bring your project to success by managing engineering related risks and opportunities and by following the technical contract execution and documentation requirements.

What You Bring:

• Bachelor´s degree in the field of Engineering or other related field
• Minimum 5-7 years' experience in related Engineering fields from the power generation, power transmission, power distribution and EPC market
• 3 years of experience in overall technical project management, preferably including site and commissioning experience
• Customer focus: capability of changing perspectives and adapting strategies and actions to meet the needs of the dynamic environment.
• Leadership and organizational capabilities to lead an international, globally dispersed Engineering team to achieve highest performance results.
• Capable to cope with stress and high workload.
• Flexibility and willingness to be present for limited periods on sites, at customers and 3rd parties around the globe as per project needs.

About the team:

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
