    Overview

    We are looking for a Technology Risk Manager who will lead on the development and consistent implementation of the Operational Risk framework. This role is part of a diverse team in the Post Trade Technology Risk function. The role reports to the Post Trade Technology Risk Director.

    The role focuses on the running and management of the technology controls established in LCH Ltd and the development of these as required based on the operating environment. The role will also coordinate the KRIs in a similar fashion. As well as this cyclical activity the role will support the tracking and management of audit and resiliency actions. It will work with business risk contacts to understand their input and achieve a common understanding of risks, issues and actions as they relate to technology.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for oversight and management of technology controls and KRIs
    • Produce the 6 monthly risk and control assessment. Work with second line risk for alignment and as part of the development of the process and its maturity.
    • Responsible for supervising and supporting closure of audit points.
    • Promote a strong risk and control environment, participate in and run ad hoc awareness session.
    • Lead on the continued adoption of MetricStream, improving its use across teams.
    • Produce and develop MI as requested.
    • Ensure consistent implementation of LCH Technology Risk Policy across LCH Ltd, in partnership with Second Line Risk.
    • Ensure operational risk framework is embedded from a Technology viewpoint in line with LCH minimum standards.
    • Adhere to internal governance processes.
    • Assist in Risk Management Technology activities across the broader Post Trade Technology environment.
    • Perform assessments and other items of work related to risk, control and governance as directed.

    Essential experience and skills required:

    • Ideal candidate will have a minimum of degree level qualification and relevant further professional qualification (e.g. CISA/CRISC).
    • Ideal candidate will have worked in the financial services sector in a technology risk management role.
    • Experienced in handling risks in global financial services business.
    • Extensive knowledge and experience in operational risk management.
    • Strong problem-solving capabilities.
    • Ability to maintain contacts and ability to influence and communicate clearly, mindful of cultural sensitivities.
    • Structured, concise communication style. Able to work with tech to help them verbalise risks, issues, remediation and mitigation.
    • Organised and methodical, effective at delivering when faced with tight timeframes.
    • Natural affinity for detail with an ability to interpret policy explaining this to colleagues.
    • Contribute in a considered and respectful manner.
    • Strong analytical skills coupled with ability to evaluate information accurately and communicate findings.
    • Effective people management skills and proven record in partner engagement.
    • Proven track record in innovative thinking and taking initiative.
