QA Engineer (Automation)

Overview

We are looking for one Quality Automation Engineer, responsible for the solution design and delivery of building new quality automation frameworks, tools and tests in support the governance and management of Indices, operational and audit requirements. We have built an inhouse tooling which wraps around various open-source technologies - Node.js / Mocha/ TypeScript and you will be expected to contribute and support the role out of this Automation Tooling

The remit for this role is a part of the wider programme to build solutions to fit in target state index platform and achieving strategic objectives of LSEG Index business.

Main Responsibilities

• Exploratory, functional, non-functional quality automation of the backend/frontend engine for Index calculation and delivery
• Gathering of testing requirements and agreeing between IT, App Support teams, businesses teams in Index business
• Writing QA automated test scripts in Node.js
• Prototyping and developing quality automation tools addressing a diverse range of index and financial products
• Maintenance and support of the existing quality automation tools and frameworks

Required Skills

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or Electronics / Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
• Experience in working with Selenium
• Understanding of DB's, SQL, etc
• Previous exposure to REST API, Postman
• Experience in software development methodologies and Agile based delivery
• Proven experience of quality automation software (ideally 3-5 years)
• Must be able to display/talk and have lived with why strong coding standards are important

Nice to have

• Experience in NodeJS, Typescript
• AWS/Ansible/Jenkins/Git
