    Role description

    We are currently looking for a Business Continuity Senior Lead with experience across the BC lifecycle, BCM activities including conducting BIA and giving towards building and developing new BCM programs from the ground up. The position will offer visibility as we take Business Continuity from theory to practice over the coming 12-18 months.

    The position reports to our newly formed GRT team, situated within the Global Security & Resilience organization, and is tasked with building Bookings' resilience across all the organization. As part of the Group Resilience team, encompassing Cyber and Fraud Incident Management, Crisis Management, IT Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity, the Business Continuity Senior Lead will be vital in translating BC strategy, policy, and planning to our collaborators across the organization. You will be instrumental in demonstrating the heightened awareness around resiliency to deliver an outstanding BC program in a dynamic, ambitious, and exciting environment. This role will join the current BC team and help lay the foundational elements needed such as risk assessments, business impact assessments, BCM governance, and compliance.

    This position requires a high degree of flexibility, technical capability, independence, and the ability to problem tackle. The ideal candidate will be comfortable adapting to ambiguity and have a proven track record of delivering activities and impressive results in specialist or manager level roles.

    Key Job Responsibilities and Duties
    • Influence leadership and critical teams throughout the business to support and invest in BC, ensuring a reliable and working 'First line'
    • Work with key partners to deliver Business Impact Analysis, Risk Assessments to identify the key risks to operations, mapping critical functions and resources, support the development of strategies for continuation and/or recovery of critical activities, conducting testing and exercising of plans and strategies, and prioritizing tailored BC roll-out
    • Function as a point of contact for BC, crafting strong formal and informal networks with cross-functional partners to drive engagement and program viability
    • Support the delivery of the Global Business Continuity Roadmap
    • Supply to ongoing review and improvement of the Business Continuity Management Program
    • Review and assess Key 3rd party & partner BC arrangements
    • Support periodic or ad hoc compliance and audit reviews
    • Conduct plan development, training, and exercise workshops with business units to raise business continuity awareness and preparedness for crisis or business disruptive events
    • Support the technical implementation and update of the resilience platform and ensure its readiness for use in the BCM program
    Role Qualifications and Requirements
    • confirmed experience working in BCM in sophisticated, decentralized environments, ideally in the tech industry
    • Business Continuity Institute (BCI) or other business continuity professional certification (highly valued)
    • Excellent customer engagement skills with particular ability to communicate the importance and benefits of BCM to the organization in a way that meets collaborator needs
    • Highly organized and focused on prioritization, planning, tracking, and coordination across programs in a fast-moving, high pressured environment
    • Strong attention to detail
    • A practical approach to BCM and Risk Management
    • Must be able to grow and develop strong relationships with employees across functions and geographic locations
    • Excellent google suite, Microsoft office skills, and ease with adapting to new technology. Experience with BCM software is a plus
    • Excellent interpersonal skills (oral and written to unique audiences), you must be able to guide and positively influence our stakeholders while building trust and teamwork
