    The Tech Data Solution team is part of Product Securities, CaLM & Unavista (LSEG-LCH) covering Business Analytics for Commercial Data initiatives across LCH and Unavista. The team is responsible to design, develop and deploy end-to-end solutions in order to generate value added by leveraging on data.

    We are looking for a Cloud Data Architect to help shaping the future of the Data Product analytics & solutions. In this role you will work closely with Risk, Product Managers and Specialists in order to design, develop and productionise a wide set of applications for data analytics purposes. Within our team, we have a strong culture of data-driven decision making and analytics. We work in cross-functional squads where each team member is fully embedded into the wider Data Product workstream making our team a truly collaborative and innovative environment.

    Enter the key responsibilities of the role:

    Role Responsibilities
    • Design, develop, and deliver Python-based proof of concept pieces that demonstrate the technical viability and feasibility of data solutions;
    • Research and application:
      • explore and define appropriate data sources;
      • establish novel methodologies and algorithms;
      • contribute to the generation of ideas for new data products.
    • Work on large applications both contributing to their function and developing from scratch;
    • Work closely with stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into technical solutions, providing actionable insights;
    • Bridging communication between data product, software and data analytics.
    Key responsibilitiesData Management:
    • Build, design and implement cloud data solutions by producing high standard code;
    • Build and deploy AI/ML Pipelines in a cloud environment (primarily AWS) utilising native tooling such as SageMaker.
    Developments:
    • Design, develop and maintain Proprietary Python Modules and Libraries;
    • Design, develop and maintain Dashboards for Data Analytics;
    • Mentors the Developers and Junior Developers by providing advice and coaching.
    Skills and Experience Required:
    • Proven experience working as a Python Engineer, preferably with a focus on proof of concept development;
    • Cloud Experience in commercial / industrial settings (preferably AWS);
    • A track record of using data to solve complex problems;
    • Advanced knowledge of database management (SQL);
    • Familiar in range of data techniques: manipulation and visualization;
    • Working with unix systems and version control systems daily.
    Desired:
    • Object oriented programming;
    • Familiar with Web Hosted API framework FastAPI or Flask / Django;
    • Experience with Terraform;
    • Experience developing ETL / data integration solutions (plus, using airflow);
    • Knowledge of agile methodologies e.g. jira;
    • Familiarity with DevOps e.g. CI/CD etc.;
    • Worked on large applications both contributing to their function and developing from scratch.
    Skills
    • Minimum 5+ years of experience in professional dev environments
    • Python
    • Cloud platforms (AWS / Microsoft Azure)
    • SQL with focus on PostgreSQL (Snowflake is nice to have)
    • Cloud Data Analytics Certificates (AWS or Azure).
