Hard Skills
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Finance, Accounting, Economics);
• Previous working experience (minimum 2-3 years) in the pension / insurance industry and solid understanding of the pension / insurance legislation;
• Good level of English (medium conversational level);
• A very good use of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel);
• Digital mindset, open to technology and working with different systems.

Valuable team member of the Pension team, the Investment Back Office Specialist will play an important role in evaluating the 3 billion EUR assets of Metropolitan Life Pension Fund, preparing the regulatory reports, supporting the Front Office Investment Team and Operation Team and in contributing to processes optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

He/she will be responsible for the NAV calculation, reporting to FSA, monitoring the investment limits and ensuring they are in line with the regulations and company’s policies, supporting the Investment and Operation teams in their daily activities and ensuring the payments are made correctly and in time.

How you will contribute:

• Prepare documentation for NAV calculation (bank statements, prices, transactions, other relevant information);
• Import data in Equitas system and run NAV calculation;
• Send to depositary the NAV calculation and prepare all supporting reports to be verified by the checker;
• Ensure the settlement of transactions is performed correctly;
• Collaborate with Front Office Investment Team and Operation Team on topics related to department activities;
• Import payments in Multicash system and perform checks to ensure that all transactions are performed correctly;
• Prepare the regulatory reports, investment limit reports and any other reports requested and ensure they are complete and accurate;
• Communicate with FSA on different topics or issues;
• Keep contact with banks and ensure banking documentation is accurate and according to company decisions (for both Pension Company and Life Insurance Company);
• Participate in implementation of the new regulatory updates, including the preliminary analysis;
• Participate in processes optimization and projects implementation;
• Ensure back-up for core processes: NAV Calculation, reporting to FSA, payments;
• Participate in internal audits and external regulatory inspections.
