    Qualifications
     
    • You have a university degree in Mechatronics, Computer Science, Automation, Electronics, Physics, or comparable;
    • You master model-based software development using MATLAB/Simulink/ASCET;
    • You have strong understanding  of automotive systems and powertrain functional concepts;
    • You have been formally trained in ISO26262
    • You have experience as Functional Safety Engineer and are familiar with functional safety methodologies (FMEA/FMEDA, DRBFM, FTA Analysis, Safety Case.)
    • You have knowledge in quality standards (e.g. ASPICE) and V-model development.
    • You have experience with customer communication
    • You have experience with embedded software development using C/C++ programming languages;
    • You have established competency in automotive communication protocols (e.g. CAN, PLC, LIN);
    • You have analytical thinking, good problem solving skills and a responsible way of working.
    • You have a good level of English

    Nice to have:

    • German language is an advantage.

    Job Description
     

    Our team is responsible for the development of integrated software components for new electric mobility devices as well as for internal combustion engines and fuel cells.

    We are currently looking for a functional safety engineer to develop software according to the international safety standards for road vehicles.

    In your role you will:

    • You will develop innovative physical models for real-time automotive control units for functional safety concepts.
    • You will be responsible for Hazard and Risk Assessments during acquisition phase of projects.
    • You will analyze and provide technical solutions for Customer Requirements.
    • You will support in creating the Technical Safety Concepts and perform requirements analysis according to the Functional Safety Standards (ISO 26262)
    • You will support during creation of Safety Plan.
    • You will be involved In developing the architecture concepts together with the system engineers.
    • You will develop specification of software safety requirements according to the ASIL classification.
    • You will be involved in safety analysis according to methodologies like FMEA, FMEDA, FTA, DFA.
    • You will be responsible for developing the technical knowhow of engineers in order to enable their involvement in all activities.
    • You will have the chance to work in international project teams, together with experienced engineers from multiple domains (e.g., SW, HW, Mechanics, System, Test);
    • You will participate in quality and functional safety reviews.
