Qualifications & Competencies:

• Degree in Information Technology or equivalent and at least 3 years of experience in software testing
• Experience in testing UI flows and user experiences for mobile applications, with both iOS and Android apps
• Strong knowledge of QA tools, concepts and methodologies
• Solid understanding of mobile technologies and applications (banking app previous experience is a plus)
• Hands on experience with Mobile app automation tools is nice to have (e.g.Appium, Ranorex, AWS Device Farm)
• Excellent troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
• Familiar with functional and nonfunctional testing, API testing of web services
• Experience with test case management and defect tracking tools (ALM, JIRA)

Key tasks and responsibilities

• Analysis and interpretation of business / functional specification, carrying out response activities in terms of test cases design & execution
• Creation and management of test plans, test cases and test results
• Shares knowledge and expertise, supports junior members of the team
• Ensure defects are clearly and concisely documented, contributes to the overall quality of test deliverables
• Brings own expertise to testing team, promotes technologies / tools to support software testing life cycle
• Interfaces with other teams such as Business Analysts, Developers, PMs etc.
• Contributes to testing activities within the team (potentially can act as point of contact for specific stream / projects)
• Designs, reviews and maintains comprehensive test cases and test conditions that would ensure adequate test coverage, for both functional and non-functional testing
• Test data preparation and maintenance
• Ensure proactive and effective testing status reporting, highlighting the encountered blockers
