    Requirements

    Experience & Education:

    Studies: Financial or Accounting university degree;
    + 5 years’ experience in financial area, preferably accounting;
    + 2 years’ managerial experience or similar;
    CECAR certification,would be considered an advantage;
    ACCA certification would be considered an advantage.

    Technical Competencies:

    Comprehensive knowledge GAAP and tax legislation;
    Knowledge of IFRS;
    Knowledge of Company’s services;
    Knowledge of Company’s procedures related to finance and accounting;
    Knowledge of the Romanian legislation related to the Company’s services;
    Microsoft Office ( Excel advanced, Power point);
    Knowledge of HFM, would be considered an advantage;
    Knowledge of Navision, would be considered an advantage;
    Good communication level in English especially business English;
    Attention to details;
    Strong Analytical skills;
    Able to make comprehensive analysis with high level of complexity.

    Responsibilities

    Organizes, guides, directs, controls the accounting team;
    Ensures, effectively organizes and manages the integrity of the entire patrimony of the company in accordance with the legal provisions in force and the internal rules or regulations of the company;
    Responsible for the efficient performance of the financial-accounting activity of the company in accordance with the legal provisions in force;
    Prepare and submit the group financial statements according to IFRS on monthly bases;
    Review and recommend changes of existing accounting guidelines and internal procedures according to the law in force;
    Responsible for all Statutory reporting;
    Assist in auditing activities by providing necessary information and preparing requested documentations;
    Reconciliation of intercompany and reporting accounts;
    Oversees the implementation of accounting procedures;
    Evaluates the accounting systems and back-office systems and provide recommendations to IT team for performance improvements;
    Ensure the data accuracy;
    Perform monthly-end activities (provisions, journal entries, reconciliation – both on local and group reporting accounts), and financial analysis as needed;
    Calculation of current and deferred income tax;
    Act as a program manager to monitor and deliver initiatives to improve efficiency such as automation, process flows;
    Ensure that process documentation and procedures are up to date;
    Ensure that internal controls are configured, effective and compliant for the accounting activity and projects (designed and reinforced);
    Remediate as soon as possible any issue appeared in the process level controls testing;
    Ensure efficient and timely allocation of payments activities as well supporting the clients request payments and balance confirmation related;
    Ensure RPA are running as required;
    Identify new automation opportunities.

    People management responsibilities:

    Lead employees to meet the organization’s expectations for productivity, quality, continuous improvement, and goal accomplishment;
    Develop the necessary competencies in the Accounting team to ensure the proper functioning of the activity and to fulfill the performance objectives;
    Ensure that the team is staffed and provided with clear objectives and directions aligned with performance standards;
    Give recurrent feedback to direct reports;
    Ensure the compliance of the company rules and standards by its team members;
    Provide leadership through effective communication of vision, active coaching and development of needed competencies in the team;
    Involve actively in all personnel management actions and processes established in the company’s policies, such as: Performance Management, Talent Review, Succession Planning, Job Assessment, Salary Review etc.;
    Ensure a high engagement score for the team;
    Contribute to the development and participate actively to the onboarding program for newcomers;
    Ensure the observance of the company’s rules and standards by the team members;
    Assist to collect and prepare collection reports on weekly basis and evaluate process and measure efficiency of all portfolios and forecast all monthly collection objectives.
