We are looking for an experienced Software QA Manager who will coordinate the teams involved in testing of a huge live streaming platform, as part of the process of rewriting it towards SaaS architecture.

Our business partner is a fast-growing and innovative internet development company, with over 15 years of international experience in building and maintaining web-based projects. Their main project is not your usual platform. It must face heavy traffic (55 mil. unique users/month, 380 million page views, 25k concurrent users every second), live video streaming (webRTC, HLS), and fast loading website. They have around 120+ microservices built so far.


Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role;
5+ years of relevant experience in software QA engineering environment;
Experience with application quality assurance in a complex web-based and mobile development environment;
A good understanding of OOP concepts and a programming language (Java preferable);
Familiarity with automation frameworks (Selenium, Cypress or other);
Good understanding of Production & Delivery pipelines - CI/CD;
Great expertise in testing methodologies, various processes, technologies, best practices and tools;
Prior experience in setting goals and KPIs based on metrics and reports of the QA department performance;
Ability to analyze data and review processes and provide actionable insights;
You will have international exposure, so you should be comfortable in English (spoken and written).

Your main responsibilities:

Define QA strategy, organize the testing process and supervises the teamwork;
Plan, implement and continuously improve the testing methodologies;
Team up with Engineering & Product teams to ensure alignment of objectives, test coverage and timelines;
Raise and track risks & their mitigation for planned test phases and releases;
Work closely with programming teams to ensure the smooth launch of new code updates or additions;
Be a people manager! This includes: 1 to 1 meetings, career path, yearly performance assessment;
Coach and mentor Manual & Automation Engineers, uplift their skills and guide them through their own career growth;
Hire and train QA Manual & Automation Engineers;
Be an individual contributor when needed and lead by example.
