Senior Auditor

TGS Romania, is the Romanian practice of TGS Global. TGS is represented in Romania by two successful firms Fidexpert Audit & TPG Group. Both companies have been active in the Romanian market for a considerable number of years (Fidexpert since 1994 and TPG from 2009).
We are a dynamic provider of accounting, audit, tax and finance services. Our service offering, business approach and sector expertise is primarily designed to support Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises, or organizations of equivalent scale, with existing or planned international operations.
We have an employment force of 80 professionals (certified accountants, certified auditors, certified fiscal consultants) who have been trained to cater for the requirements of the most demanding clients.

• Experience in (a) International Financial & Romanian Reporting Standards, (b) International Standards of Audit, (c) Risk Management Policies and (d) International Code of Ethics
• Pass 50%-75% of the professional examinations (ACCA or CAFR)
• Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience
• Graduate degree preferably in economics with a further preference for accounting & finance.
• Proved fluency in both English (i.e. Proficiency Level or equivalent)
• Computer literate (i.e. MS Office) with emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint
• Strong business awareness
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Working and liaising with other members of the audit team and colleagues in other parts of the firm as necessary to provide high-quality service, within budget and time frame
• Supervising, coaching and training (especially on-the-job training) more junior people and taking part in their performance appraisals
• Coping with having to deal with two or more simple clients at one time
• Perform the planning and risk assessment procedures and budgeting on most jobs
• Review the audit work of more junior staff in the team
• Provide informal input for the more junior level’s appraisal

• Draft the planning and risk assessment procedures and budgeting on most jobs, pending approval by the supervisor
• Identifying client needs
• Taking responsibility for compliance with the Audit Methodology Manual
• Preparing fully completed audit files including tax certification file requirements
• Drafting management letters, audit memorandums and tax clearance memos
• Be able to perform effectively financial statement audit procedures for both Romanian Accounting Standards and IFRS financial statements and perform an effective overall analytical review, with the supervision of the Audit manager
• Reviewing accounting systems (not IT audit)
• Liaising with clients on the day–to–day execution of clients’ assignments
• Drafting fee notes
• Be aware of the firm‘s corporate objectives and business plan
• Identifying cross-selling opportunities
• Fill in own time sheets in time complies with the allocated hourly budget of the assigned tasks, control the team’s budget and take corrective actions in case of any deviation aligning accordingly with the Manager.
