Software Test Engineer

About the role

The role is responsible for performing Software Testing activities on specific software releases to ensure a minimum level of quality for each deliverable before the release of the software to the next team in the development process. The role is in the DAI Pre-Integration testing team.

What you will do 

• Review software specifications and testing procedures
• Create, update and review Test Cases and Test Suites
• Execute manual and automated test cases
• Create and update documentation for the testing procedures
• Create detailed reports of the executed test cases
• Analyze error logs to help identify the root cause of a failure
• Follow bug reporting and tracking process
• Follow the industry and project standards in relation to the development processes
• Act according to the standards of the Automotive industry and in-car applications

• Experience as a Software Test Automation Engineer (3+ Regular, 1+ for Junior)
• Proven knowledge in Test Automation Frameworks
• Experience working with embedded systems
• User-level Linux experience
• Knowledge of a scripting/programing language (Bash/Python is a plus)

• ISTQB Certification
• Version Control Systems experience (preferably Git)
• Knowledge of CAN testing tools (CANoe is a plus)
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or other relevant (IT connected) specializations

• Willingness to travel (0-20% of time) depending on project necessities
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Good communication skills
• Solid English knowledge
• Ability to adapt quickly
