WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

· Fluent English as mandatory, German is optional
· Academic Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent experience would be beneficial
· Detail knowledge and practical experience with security scanning tools (e.g. AWS config, OpenVAS or Vuls) as well as with vulnerability assessment and management tools (e.g. AWS Security Hub or archery)
· Ability to write well formatted, structured and clean code and comfortably work with backend and DevSecOps technologies such as Python, NodeJS, CloudFormation, Terraform, Git, Docker, Kubernetes
· Enthusiasm for direct and frequent interaction with the users and interest in discovering opportunities collaborating closely with other colleagues
· Passion for automation with Bash/Shell scripting, Python/JavaScript programming and AWS services
· Detailed experience in the administration of various operating systems (Linux, Windows) especially regarding configuration, automation, scripting and monitoring
· Debugging and command-line skills

To support and enable Vitesco Technologies digital journey as well as providing IT capabilities for the existing and the future business - we are looking for a DevSecOps Engineer interested in supporting the development of secure infrastructure & platform services which are scalable on demand and globally available. The DevSecOps engineer is responsible for security engineering, gap analysis and thread modelling throughout the complete development lifecycle.

In this role you will attack products and services like an outsider to help us defend what we have created. You design, implement and operate security services which will be integrated into other tool chains like CI/CD. In addition to the proactive vulnerability scanning, you will establish auto response and remediation for identified security events and consult other involved parties to find sustainable security solutions.

The key principles for our solutions are that everything is automated, encrypted, monitored, secure and provided as code. Therefore, we’d like to leverage managed cloud solutions & platform services wherever it is possible


WHERE YOUR EXPERTISE IS NEEDED

· Ability to work in a fast-paced collaborative environment is essential
· Make security a part of your products: Integrate cyber security compliance in all lifecycle phases of our IT services and digital platforms, from design and develop to implementation
· Continually ensure security during service operation by providing consumable security services with APIs
· Design and implement auto remediation for security findings
· Deliver complex projects on time and possess a strong background in IT infrastructure
· Engineering of cloud-based services according to architecture best practices and standards
· Managing increasing complexity and interdependency of IT systems and software applications using latest technologies and integration of cloud services
· Consult customers with open contribution and collaboration on security topics
