DevOps Engineer (C++ development)

Short task description

Configure and integrate software static and dynamic analysis tools like code checkers, coverage measuring tools and continuous integration tools.

Participate in improvement projects with the focus of increasing the quality and efficiency of the whole development process.

Maintain Rhapsody plugins and Component Test Environment using Cucumber/Ruby for a railway interlocking system product.

Job responsibilities include:

- Owner of the CI solution for the interlocking product

• Responsible of the Jenkins/Sonar servers
• Create and maintains Jenkins jobs (using Jenkins Pipelines)
• Install/Upgrade plugins, tools and libraries
• Ensure CI process is stable and responsive

- Perform DevOps activities

• Maintain and diagnose the product build system (using Gradle/Maven)
• Maintain repository and version control systems according to the Configuration Management Plan (Git/Nexus)
• Create/maintain Rhapsody plugins for customization of model/code generation activities
• Offer support for engineering activities for the project team
• Document the configurations of all used tools for development/test environment

The development will be performed in a professional environment in close co-operation with experts from Germany (Stuttgart, Berlin) and Austria (Wien).

We are looking for an outstanding applicant who can demonstrate the following qualities:

Professional competencies
Education:

• Technical study of Computer Science, Informatics, Mathematics, Electronics or similar)

Requested technical competencies:

• Experience with version control tools - Git
• Knowledge of Maven or Gradle
• Experience in working with Jenkins, SonarQube
• Knowledge of UNIX based operating system

• Knowledge of shell scripting
• Experience using Groovy and Jenkins Pipeline
• Ability to learn new programming/scripting languages and different technologies/OS
• Experience working with Nexus

Would be a plus:

• Experience with LINUX based programming
• Python or Perl scripting
• Experience with ELK stack
• Knowledge of Code Checkers (e.g. QAC, Cantata, VectorCAST, GCOV)
• Experience with Prometheus and Grafana
• Knowledge of Ruby Interpreter
• Component Testing using Cucumber
• Knowledge of Java
