    Requirements

    Job requirements:

    • Academic degree in Business Administration, Engineering or comparable qualification;
    • Minimum 2 years of professional experience in Purchasing, respective material group preferred;
    • Strong Negotiation skills;
    • Good Communication skills;
    • Reliable Microsoft Office and SAP knowledge;
    • German and English Language - business fluent (written and spoken);
    • Independent, structured and analytical way of working;
    • Willingness to travel;
    • Assertiveness, team spirit and drive, flexibility;
    • Confident manner;
    • Intercultural competences and first experiences in an international business environment.

    Responsibilities

    Job description:

    In our Global Vitesco NPM Purchasing team you will be responsible for carrying out purchasing activities in the category areas of Engineering Services, R&D + Lab Equipment and Product related Software Licenses, with a basic to medium degree of difficulty. You will contribute towards global initiatives which drive added value for Vitesco Technologies in terms of commercial, logistical and technical enhancements, while strengthening the relationships to strategic Business Partners (internal and external).
    Your area of activity will cover European Vitesco Technologies locations – mainly in Germany.

    Responsibilities:

    • Support the implementation of the Global Purchasing Strategy to the Regional level. Develop, maintain, align, communicate and implement Regional Purchasing Strategies;
    • Evaluation, comparison and selection of strategic suppliers under various criteria, as well as identification of alternative suppliers;
    • Ensure the ideal balance of Competition and Pooling through e.g. supplier reduction and implementation of strategic suppliers to achieve a maximum cost reduction contribution and best possible synergy effects;
    • Clarification of technical and commercial requirements together with the requester and the supplier;
    • Individual completion of negotiations and preparation of contract documents to guarantee the best conditions for acquisition of goods and services, by respecting procurement process, procedures and legal requirements;
    • Evaluation of contractual risks and consulting of the internal decision makers;
    • Support a timely award decision as well as ensuring the necessary and auditable documentation of the relevant sourcing documents;
    • Accurate and timely processing of all purchase orders according to defined process;
    • Manage the day-to-day business relationship with internal customers & key suppliers through supporting activities including ordering, communication of demand/ volume/ delivery time changes, issue resolution, sharing of end-user feedback, follow up on orders, etc.;
    • Individual responsibility for contract and catalogue development and execution;
    • Collaborate and communicate effectively across different organizational levels, functions, businesses, and geographies to realize procurement goals and objectives;
    • Consults internal customers for information regarding provision of goods/services, purchasing constraints and process optimization in his/her area of responsibility.
    • Ensure Compliance with Business Partner Code of Conduct and Vitesco Technologies Code of Conduct;
    • Establish and maintain the relationship with the strategic suppliers;
    • Ensuring transparency of results by means of reporting and control of prescribed information and figures.
