    Short task description

    Adapt the workflow and pipelines used in the development and test of Air Traffic Management systems. Configure and integrate CI/CD tools (ex: software static and dynamic analysis tools, coverage measuring tools, etc.) into the build and deploy process. Participate in improvement projects with the focus of increasing the quality and efficiency of the whole development process. Adapt the workflow and pipelines used in the development and test of railway interlocking systems.

    Job responsibilities include:

    • Support of migrations of Thales product lines on AWS Thales Private Cloud;

    • Install, configure, test and patch operating systems applications and in-house tools on AWS instances and/or on local premises servers with automation tools (ex. puppet);

    • Integrate the Thales Orchestra Engineering tool suite to the AWS TPC Production environment;

    • Automate build and deploy processes for CI/CD;

    • Documentation of the work results.

    The development will be performed in a professional environment in close co-operation with experts from Germany (Stuttgart, Berlin) and Austria (Wien).

    Professional competencies
     

    Requested technical competencies:

    • Knowledge of Terraform and AWS CLI;

    • Experience with software build systems and engineering tools;

    • Strong knowledge of UNIX based operating system;

    • Experience with Bash, Perl and/or Python, scripting in general;

    • Knowledge of containers and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes;

    • Good Knowledge of Ansible, Puppet or Chef;

    • Networking experience;

    • Experience in the area of security (e.g. CIS) are desired.

    Would be a plus:

    • Knowledge of GNU Toolchain;

    • Experience in working with hypervisors ( KVM);

    • Knowledge of Jenkins Pipeline and Groovy;

    • Experience with software build systems (GNU Makefile, Maven or Gradle);

    • Experience with version control tools.

    Education:

    • Technical study of Computer Science, Informatics, Mathematics, Electronics or similar).

    • Interpersonal qualities (sociability, empathy, flexibility);

    Languages:

    • English;

    • German is a plus.
