Requirements:

Knowledge/ experience on software defined networks;
Understands, manages, and troubleshoots IT security architectures involving fire-wall/VPN, Intrusion detection/ prevention, authorization/authentication, network traffic management, network access control, and threat identification and mitigation systems;
Understanding of enterprise class networking technologies from vendors such as Cisco/Juniper/Brocade/Checkpoin;
Basic understanding of Virtualization (VMware) and Linux;
Ability to evaluate Network and Network Components Performance;
Understanding of Monitoring and Management Tools

Responsibilities:

Designing and implementing new network solutions and/or improving the efficiency of current networks
Installing, configuring and supporting network equipment including routers, switches, firewalls
Configuring firewalls, routing and switching to maximize network efficiency and security
Maximizing network performance through ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting
Arranging scheduled upgrades,create and implement change requests to add/remove flows
Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure
Investigating faults in the network, support other teams in advanced troubleshooting tasks – packet capture and analysis, flow investigation, investigate incidents and outages in the network infrastructure
Updating network equipment to the latest firmware releases
Reporting network status to key stakeholders
Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
