Core competencies, knowledge and experience:

 Good knowledge of the Network Data Centre infrastructures
 Deep knowledge of Network equipment operation (Cisco Nexus router and switches, F5 Load Balancer) and of TCP/IP, Routing and switching Protocol
 Deep knowledge of telecommunications network systems and their services
 Good knowledge of Data Center technologies like FP, BGP, OSPF, HSRP, F5 Load Balancing

Must have technical/professional qualifications:

 Education level equivalent to a bachelor’s degree
 Desired: minimum 3 years’ experience with data centre and cloud technologies from Cisco, HPE, VCE and/or VMware NSX
 Desired: minimum 3 years’ experience in data centre environment

• Firewall

o Primary skills with Juniper firewalls (3600, 4200, 4600, 5400)
 Certifications: JNCIE-SEC or JNCIP-SEC with long experience-nice to have
o Secondary skills are with CheckPoint (IP390, IP560, IP12xx), and Netscreen (5400-II) firewalls
 Certifications: CCSE or CCSM-nice to have
o Experience with Juniper, CheckPoint/Netscreen

• Load Balancer

o Primary skills with F5 load balancers (BIG-IP 2000, BIG-IP VPR-C2400)
 Certifications: F5-CTS (BIG-IP LTM track: 101, 201, 301a, 301b)-nice to have
o Secondary skills are with Cisco ACE (ACE10, ACE20, ACE30, CSS) load balancers
 Certifications: 642-972, 642-975 exams-nice to have
o Experience with data centre technologies from F5, Cisco ACE

• Network Implementation (general)

o Very good knowledge of (not all in one person but in the team).
 Cisco Nexus device family, N2/5/6/7/9k, ASR 1/9k
 Cisco Fabric Path technology, switch profile, vPC, FEX, HSRP, BGP, OPSF, ISSU upgrades, NX OS
 F5 load balancers
 FW (Juniper, CheckPoint, Fortinet)

Nice to have:

 Certifications:
o Cisco (CCNP or CCIE)
o VCE (VCE-CIA, VCE-CIAE or VCECIMAE)
o F5 (BIG-IP Administrator, LTM Specialist)
o HPE (certificates for data centre, SDN and cloud solutions
o VMware NSX (VCP6-NV) or Juniper/CheckPoint
 Knowledge of Cisco ACI or VMware NSX

.Key accountabilities and decision ownership:

 Operation all network related components like router, switches, load balancer, firewalls, cloud solutions, etc.
 Provide to support our customers with network analysis; pro-actively drive operations excellence by solving and preventing operational issues.
 Coordinate changes initiated by Data Centre activities acting as SPOC for assigned projects Actively influences operational efficiency and operability of the deployed connectivity solutions
 Seeks clarification of risks before taking action to guarantee business continuity
