    Job Summary:

    The Benefits & Relocation Administrator is responsible for the administration and processing of relocation and benefits plans. He/she is also responsible for providing information to employees regarding their benefits and relocation process. This includes support for smooth transitions in and out of the assigned location, including arrival, welcoming, settling in, as well as support on a subsequent transfer out. He/she designs, executes, evaluates and updates relocation programs within the geographical area of responsibility. Effective coordination of vendors, cost control, and legal compliance involved in the relocation process is critical.

    Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

    • Initiate and interface with the Employee and Family on relocations process.
    • Supports employees and HR staff regarding Benefits queries.
    • Ensure accurate processing of Benefits and Relocation claims in eClaims
    • Ensures accuracy of contribution files and timely payment of contributions to respective Trust, or State authorities or third party providers administering such plans.
    • Performs regular audits of Benefits contribution reporting for eligible participants.
    • Ensures correct storage of all Benefits master data.
    • Updates Web sites where Benefit Plans information are stored regularly.
    • Complies with all applicable Schlumberger standards and policies.
    • Identifies and participates in continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Ensure compliance with the Data Privacy & Protection Guidelines and relevant legislation.
    • Conducts post-move surveys to identify opportunities for improvement in all processes.
    • Supports spouses with career and/or language assistance via established external providers.
    • Creates and maintains welcome packages with accurate information including, but not limited to, location procedures and regulations, useful local information on day care, schooling, housing, tax assistance, and visa/immigration requirements.
    • Ensures relocation policies and procedures are clear, accurate, informative and systematically maintained and posted at the location Web site.
    • Coordinates relocation when leaving country of assignment by taking care of the shipment of personal effects, termination of local agreements (e.g., lease agreements, utilities) cancellation of visa/work permit, etc.
    • Employees may be assigned other duties, in addition to, or in lieu of those described above, according to the needs of the location or Company.
    External to Schlumberger
    • Establishes and develops strong relations with targeted schools and other local community resources and agencies.
    • Coordinates with contracted moving companies to provide timely quotes on the shipment of personal effects and advises employees accordingly.
    • Conducts vendor audits to ensure compliance with the contracted services according to Schlumberger Supply Chain standards.
    Internal to Schlumberger
    • Work closely with:
    • Supply Chain to effectively manage vendor relations and cost control
    • HR Managers in preparing and reviewing Housing policy based on local markets
    • Legal department in preparing, negotiating and reviewing lease agreements
    • Schlumberger Spouses Association (SSA)
    • Advises management and employees on relocation policies and procedures.
    • Complies with all applicable Schlumberger standards and policies.
    • Assists with the coaching and development of new team members.
    • Identifies and participates in continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Ensure compliance with the Data Privacy & Protection Guidelines and relevant legislation


    Previous Experience and Competencies:
    University Degree with 0 to 5 years' HR or Business experience.
