    Started as a green field project in 2010, the Intel Romania Software and Development Center’s (IRSDC) focus is on IT research and development for next generation computing solutions. Part of the Intel Software and Services Group, the IRSDC includes:

    A large team of software engineers dedicated to Open Source development and innovations in Open Source technologies
    A team of highly skilled engineers focused on Platform Analysis and Optimization
    A business development team for the Intel Security Software and Services Division
    With the opening of the IRSDC, Intel Romania joins Intel's established research and development network across European countries including Germany, France, Spain, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Poland and Finland.

    Our site in Bucharest is also home to a Sales and Marketing team which provides world-class sales and support at the original equipment manufacturer (OEM), developer and end-user levels.


    You should be studying towards a Bachelor of Science or Master degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering. Additional qualifications include:
    - Excellent programming and debugging skills in C and/or C++ and/or C# including object-oriented analysis and design
    - Excellent written and oral communication skills
    - Experience with software development under both Linux* and Windows* would be an added advantage
    - Knowledge of shell scripting under Linux* environment would be an added advantage
    - Understanding of Microsoft* Windows* and Linux* operating system internals and functionality would be an added advantage


    In this position, you will be responsible for developing tools to analyze software behavior and characterize its interactions with computer systems spanning a wide range of market segments. Analysis of today's industry standard benchmarks, and leading software applications is important in designing future processors and platforms. You will be working to develop and/or support a number of analysis tools as well as investigate a number of research projects. The key outcome is to provide invaluable data to software, architecture, and design teams across Intel to accelerate and improve the design of Intel(R) products.
