Quality Assurance Engineer CQE

Tenneco is present in Romania with the Global Shared Services Center in Bucharest and also with the Braking products plant in Ploiesti, Prahova.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree in quality related or technical field is required;

EXPERIENCE:
A minimum of four years of progressively responsible quality experience in a manufacturing environment is required;
SKILLS:
Working knowledge of Quality Management Systems (ISO9001 & TS16949).
Customer specific Program Development experience (e.g.: PPAP, Process Flow & Control Plans).
Six Sigma Black Belt certification;
Knowledge of QA and QC process implementation;
Knowledge of MS Office, Database and Project Management software;
Fluent in English;

Serves as liaison between Customer and the company.
Development of required documentation to support the Product Development Process and in accordance with Customer requirements (e.g. APQP, PPAP and FMEA).
Reviews control of nonconformance material disposition and re-inspection of reworked product.
Interface with Customer personnel and facilitate the resolution of quality issues and concerns.
Participate in the development and maintenance of institutionalized quality systems (e.g. TS & ISO).
Directs and coordinates quality inspection of parts, components, and material produced by subcontractors and vendors;
Lead problem solving efforts relating to launch quality issues. Participate in meetings and negotiations with customer, programs, and concerned functional management.
Reviews quality problems with engineering personnel and assists with action required to correct defect.
Prepares periodic and special reports concerning departmental activities, problems, subcontractors quality system, schedules, and rejected items.
Launch Quality: Responsible for the quality of product during the Launch phase.
Control of all APQP documents via PPAP.
Understand and provide interpretation of customer designs.
Evaluate pre-production parts and lead measurement activity.
Investigates and addresses customer complaints regarding quality.
Responsible for gage quoting and Customer approval.
Responsible for Supplier Gage design approval, PPAP review and approval, and Program Issues Review.
Responsible for PFMEA.
