In technical terms we’re looking for a person which has strong enteprise-grade IT infrastructure hands-on experience and is willing to work within a small team of engineers in maintaining and extending our IT infrastructure: Virtualization, Blades, Active Directory, Exchange, Avamar, SANs and several Security, Management and Monitoring tools are just a few toys we have in production. You must be thorough and careful, it’s not always the network.

JOB PURPOSE:

Provides highly skilled and experienced IT infrastructure systems expertise and leads the Level 2 Systems Team. Carries responsibility for the performance of the datacenter systems infrastructure based on good understanding of the technical and functional requirements.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Coordinates and monitors the activity of the Systems team (Level 2) and ensures swift resolution of reported incidents;
Acts and oversees defects rectification procedures and manages complex problems;
Acts as the first point of contact for escalating network-related incidents and problems unsolved by Level 1; provides technical support during resolution of complex problems and incidents;
Acts and oversees Virtualization, Servers, Storage, Backup operations and projects;
Designs and deploys infrastructure systems-related changes;
Acts as a communication point between other teams and the networking team
Coordinates projects and monitors their execution;
Ensures IT infrastructure operation within SLA requirements, monitors alerts, performance and availability and documents performance and capacity baselines;
Monitors and implements IT security policies and documents changes according to the internal processes and policies;
Develops and updates technical documentation and internal process documentation;
Directs and checks work performed by any suppliers in the systems field;
Assists the team in developing and implementing IT policies and procedures;
Proactive in the development of his/her professional skills.
