In the role of User Experience Designer/Engineer at Waters, you will create wireframes and turn these into rapid prototypes for the purposes of testing functionality, user flow and complex journey mapping. The role will revolve around interface design and will draw on the artistic merits of the designer. Use of excellent communication and presentation skills to demonstrate prototypes to both internal and external users will be expected.
2 or more years of user experience design experience for software or web applications which leverage emergent technologies and/or mobile devices.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in interaction design, new media design or related design field.
Strong conceptualization ability, strong visual communication ability, drawing skills and sketchbook technique.
Exceptional design skills, production value and attention to detail.
Experience with user interface design patterns and standard UCD methodologies.
High level of creativity and problem solving skills.
Experience working in an Agile/Lean environment with rapid prototyping and iterative development.
Experience with testing and analysis of users (both qualitative and quantitative) in order to gain insight and inform design.
Strong working knowledge of XD, Photoshop, Illustrator and other relevant Adobe Creative Suite tools.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Portfolio to accompany resume.
English- minimum upper intermediate B2 level (both spoken & written)
Software skills required:
Axure – experience in interaction design and rapid prototyping
Angular and Zeplin experience is an advantage
CSS and HTML knowledge is an advantage for improving collaboration with and review for development teams
Creation of rapid prototypes and interactive wireframes using Axure.
Ideate, sketch, wireframe, prototype, design and sometimes build solutions.
