As a Linux engineer, you will be involved in the deployment and the configuration of Linux servers, setting up and configuring tools for monitoring and backup, according to the standard, and you are responsible for getting those servers into a production managed environment.
You will participate in technical meetings to create new solutions. Knowledge of firewall design and setting up data flows will be needed. You will also be responsible for the implementation and support of the design of these solutions.
You will be part of a dedicated team, delivering services for a large customer active in the logistics sector.
Candidates must possess:
• Minimum 3 years in a similar position
• Expert knowledge and experience of Linux operating systems (Redhat 5, 6, 7)
• Good understanding of cloud computing technologies and DevOps.
• Good understanding of GIT, Wildfly, Puppet and/or Terraform.
• Linux administration and shell scripting is like a walk in the park for you as well as application debugging/troubleshooting on Linux.
• You have basic programming skills that are required to do problem solving and support customers.
• Basic knowledge of PostgreSQL
• Good understanding of Kernel modules and file systems.
• Good understanding how to compile packages from source, install and diagnose drivers and authorization mechanisms.
• Profound understanding of Weblogic administration and installation.
• Analytical, technical and diagnostic skills
Nice to have:
• Knowledge of ProFTP, Firewall (IPtables) is considered a plus.
• Knowledge of middleware (Weblogic, Tomcat, Apache) is considered a plus.
• Knowledge of SAN technology (3Par, EMC) is considered a plus.
• Scripting skills would be a plus

• Offer third line support activities for our customer
• Analyze incidents generated monitoring systems and quickly address them
• Analyze support requests sent by phone, email or web submit
• Timely update every support request assigned to your group
• Accurate ticket documentation of the support request and troubleshooting steps taken
• Take ownership and responsibility for all tasks assigned to you
• Configuration, fine-tuning and follow-up of Management Applications
• Ensure reports & specific client reports are delivered in time
• Maintain strict adherence to change management procedures before performing any change
• Maintain the operational systems/resources at customer sites
• Provide technical training for other levels when new projects/tools are integrated within Cegeka
• Provide the management team with proposals for possible enhancements regarding the customer infrastructures
• Create and modify technical procedures, manuals and processes for monitoring projects
• Create the technical documentation for all new Cegeka integrations (Server documentation, Architecture documents, etc.)
• Interact with the customer and positively expose Cegeka during communication
• Work in close collaboration with your colleagues and customer representatives to ensure that service delivery is at the highest standard
• Work in accordance with the Cegeka quality standards, procedures, processes and internal regulations
• Provide on-call assistance for your customer
• Attend trainings and team meetings
