Education and Experience
· Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent
· No previous experience is required, but nice to have
Skills
· Good Java knowledge
· SQL knowledge
· Understands software applications design tools and languages
· Understands and is able to collaborate in the design for software applications running on multiple platform types
· Has knowledge about testing, coding and debugging procedures used in the software development process and tools
· Team player
· Willing to learn
· Good analytical and problem solving skills
· Good written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language
· JavaScript, Angular JS, Maven, Jenkins & REST are a plus

· Participates in analysis and designs phases of the application
· Using current programming language and technologies, writes code, completes programming, and performs testing and debugging of applications based on specific requirements and instructions
· Fixes existing defects in the products
· Collaborates for the documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance of the product
· Participates as a member of project team for developing reliable, cost effective and high quality solutions

We are looking for a Junior Java Software Engineer to be part of our team in Cluj-Napoca.
The Octane product is an application lifecycle management product used to plan, execute and track projects. It has several key features:
· Plan - Quickly assess the progress of your projects and capture and track requirements with built-in support for agile methodologies.
· Define - Use a standardized, collaborative workspace to build and prioritize backlog items and track them across the lifecycle.
· Build - Get insight with the collection of build data and take advantage of the support for continuous testing and build execution.
· Test - Manage quality throughout the lifecycle, with support for testing in a structured language and transitioning from manual to automated tests.
· Track - View quality aggregation in context of an entire application and track progress across the lifecycle.
The team is spread world-wide across multiple locations and so are our clients.
You will be part of our team in Cluj-Napoca and you will:
· Work on a new product which is being developed using technologies like:
o Java 8
o Spring
o JavaScript & Angular
o Maven
o Oracle & SQL Server DB
o Jenkins
oJUnit
o REST
o Jetty
· Improve the product by adding new features and drive the architecture based on customer needs
· Collaborate with colleagues with high technical expertise from several locations worldwide
