Application Support Developer

As an Application Support Developer your main responsibilities will involve:

- The support of DB applications written in JAVA, covering the 3rd line support for the
applications in scope and interacting with other support interfaces (i.e. internal or third party).
- Have working knowledge of supporting software applications and bug fixes, using the
following frameworks:

• Spring 4.x : Spring MVC, Spring Security, Spring Aspect.
• Hibernate 4.x: Hibernate ORM, Hibernate Criterion, Hibernate Envers

- Work closely with the Development and Release Management practice to ensure code and
design integrity of the bug fixes (hot fixes, patches).
- Participate in testing process through unit testing and bug fixes
- You will also be involved in creating new ideas for the development and delivery of
application support projects;
- Designing and developing continuous improvement projects and enhancements for DB
systems;
- Working in teams following agile development practices;
- Performing code reviews and reviews of technical documentation;
- Working with off-shore vendor resources and development activities;
- Working with remote client resources;
- Learning new technologies and languages;
- On call support might be required occasionally.

As an L3 Application Support Developer your skills will include:

- 2 - 5 years of experience, mixing development across a broad mix of UI, server side, &
database technologies (Oracle. Good knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL ) and application support
experience;
- Previous experience of working within Financial Services desirable but not essential;
- Experience of agile methodologies (ideally Scrum) and ITIL methodology.
