Required skills

Platform skills :

• Understand customer IT : IBM System Z, P, I
• OEM : Intel, Virtualized environment. HP UX, Oracle SAP
• Knowledge of data replication techniques by storage subsystem or back-up replication VTL. Knowledge of main backup products: TSM,BRMS,Netbackup, EMC networker

Infrastructure skills :

• Knowledge of local RS data center : Capacity & installation planning, physical layout and cabling
• Knowledge of delivered resources: dedicated, shared
• Knowledge of SAN components and work area recovery
• Knowledge of LAN and WAN infrastructure
• Knowledge of work area recovery : phone calls rerouting, switchboard, virtual desktop, physical platform deployment

General skills :

• Understand customer business requirements for Disaster recovery plan and Business continuity solutions
• Relationship skills for interaction with customers
• Knowledge of solution processes and tools
• Cost cases creation : labor costs and vendor costs (RDO)
• SDM costing tools knowledge.

Responsibilities

• The candidate must have a demonstrated technical knowledge in Open Wintel and Unix environment
• The Infrastructure Architect will develop Information Technology (IT) architecture, designs, and deploying solutions for:

           • Operating systems with a focus on Intel technology ( Lenovo, Cisco, Dell), Microsoft Windows Server/Active Directory, Linux, Unix
           •  Virtualization technology on Intel platforms, especially VMware vSphere and Red Hat, KVM
           • Networking solutions including routers, switches, load balancers, wireless with focus on Cisco and VMware vSwitches, DNS and Load balancing technologies
           • Storage subsystems including storage switches, fiber data fabric networks, along with storage management/monitoring tools, backup technologies
           • Security applications including anti-virus, syslog, security analysis, data loss protection tools;

• He must be able to estimate the services for realizing the solution. For instance he must identify the job profession (IT/Architect, IT/Specialist, PM etc), estimates the effort (number of days needed) with related band and Level 40
• He should have also the ability to interact with all the stakeholder (Extended technical team, Sales Team , Deal Hub etc) in order to manage the deal with all the organizations
• He must able to understand documentation in Italian language and able to deliver technical documentation (in Italian) that explain the solution provided
• If necessary he must be able to make a preliminary technical analysis of RFQ/RFP/Tender in order to address and evaluate, along with the sales team, if proceed with the answer or not and provide support in the choices of GO / NOGO being OMDT process
• He must demonstrate ownership in following the specific opportunity and the ability to work effectively in an extended team.
