Audit Manager - Financial Services Industry

Deloitte Central Europe ("DCE") is the standard of excellence region, with high growth rates in many of our markets. To enable us to pursue significant opportunities in Romania we have immediate needs for two Audit Managers with a strong background in FSI (Financial Services Industry - Banking & Insurance) that will be based in Bucharest, Romania.

In conducting an External Audit of our clients' financial statements, Deloitte in Romania holds itself to the highest standards of independence, professional objectivity, and technical excellence. Our approach is to understand our client's business, the risks it faces, and its internal controls. Our professionals bring a comprehensive methodology that leverages the global firm's extensive professional and technical resources to our local clients' financial reporting process, helping them meet the growing demand for enhanced disclosure and accountability.

Responsibilities:

effectively leading a team in planning, managing and executing Audit engagements, within a risk based environment efficiently and effectively;
defining project structure and assessing and assuring proper resource allocation
delivering projects on-time and on-budget
identifying and effectively dealing with risks, project extensions, etc.
maintaining high quality and professional standards
acting as a role model and mentor for less experienced members of the team providing on the job training and developing, through evaluation and counseling, talented team members
developing effective business relationships with clients in order to identify, package and sell business solutions that help our clients grow and become more successful
flexibility to work cross border between the countries on Audit engagements and where appropriate, to be able to effectively work in cross functional teams ( for example, consulting, financial advisory services) in different countries where your skills and industry experience are most appropriate

Qualifications:

Professional Certification - undergraduate or master's degree. Full membership of an internationally recognized professional accounting association (ACA, ACCA or CPA) and/or an auditor's license
FSI (Financial Services Industry) background, with focus on banking and insurance
International Financial Reporting Standards literate
Proven leadership and management skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English is the business language) and ability to make effective presentations to top client management
Demonstrated entrepreneurial flair, drive and sales ability
IT skills such as advanced use of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint packages are required
