This position requires min. 3 years’ experience, completed professional training, and additionally, expertise in several responsibility areas and extensive (5y) professional experience, or an alternative higher education (bachelor or similar) and several years’ (2y) professional experience or equivalent education (e.g. in the fields of IT technology, SAP certification: SAP Certified Technology Associate).

You should be familiar with SAP products and components as well as the operating systems Unix and Windows, and have the following expertise in the area:
- SAP Basis Administration ABAP/JAVA incl. database (Oracle, sapdb, HANA)
- SAP Performance Management incl. database
- Information security, data protection
- Knowledge of the established process, e.g. ITIL
- UC4 job scheduling and automation
- Basic knowledge of UNIX and Windows

In addition, you need methodological knowledge in the fields of ITIL, project management for technical implementation projects and presentations.

As a Senior Application Manager (m/w) you supervise highly complex SAP applications or complete system landscapes incl. handling the resulting interfaces in terms of service levels agreed with the customer.

You will be advising the user in terms of efficient management of specific business processes in the strategic daily operation.

Moreover, the responsibilities include the following activities:
1) Analysis of the SAP application migration incidents and their IT environment (operating system, system software, databases). Identifying, resolving and documenting errors (incidents) in highly complex customer installations with unknown error patterns, possibly with the involvement of internal partners/external manufacturers and suppliers, while providing specialist advice.

2) Execution of customer orders as an implementation project or in the context of Change Management.

3) Professional control of daily business incoming orders and occurring incidents/errors.

4) Advising the customers in case of problems with the software application, incl. the employed processes.

Proactive customer information in case of incidents and internal communication in case of escalations.
