    Lead with us as Finance (OTC) Team Lead - Back Office and maximize our cash flow by heading up a team of Functional Analysts who manage the order to cash cycle and related business relationships with Kellogg customers, including managing credit and financial risks.
     
    You will be responsible for account review and analysis, managing bankruptcies and advising the business about your mitigation strategies for high risk customers.  Along with managing the team, an exciting element of your role will be building relationships with external credit organisations to ensure the timely exchange of credit information to assist the smooth running of the OTC process.
     
    WHAT WILL I BE DOING?
     
    As Finance (OTC) Team Lead – Back Office, you will be part of our success by:
     
    Customers and Operations:

    • Leading Deductions/Credit Associates in independently analysing customer accounts to identify financial trends and opportunities making recommendations to effectively manage credit risk
    • Managing and closing escalated customer disputes by working cross-functionally to resolve
    • Managing write-off approvals
    • Providing advice and recommendations to sales management regarding customer accounts identified to present high risk of financial loss under credit sales terms
    • Managing bankruptcies within guidelines established by bankruptcy courts
    • Supporting the planning and production of balance sheet forecasting activities and analysis for all European markets & plants, including monitoring risks and opportunities that can improve core working capital and free cash flow position
    • Participating in customer strategy discussions
    • Serving as a single point of contact for critical OTC issues and disputes, and escalating as required
    • Representing Kellogg at credit group meetings including board membership
    • Maintaining ownership for meeting team performance and delivering to agreed Service Level Agreements (SLA’s)
    • Performing analysis for customers
    • Performing periodic and formal credit reviews
    • Independently analyse accounts and accounts receivable utilising analytical and investigative tools to identify financial trends and opportunities, making recommendations to effectively manage credit risk
    • Performing bad debt and payment trend analysis to reduce write-offs
    • Fostering relationships with external credit organisations and association members to facilitate timely exchange of credit information and leading industry practices
    • Reviewing financial statements both quantitatively and qualitatively to assess risk
    • Clearly recommend/define mitigation strategies for high risk accounts and propose strategies to minimize further risks 
    People and Innovation
    • Overseeing a strong people agenda and carrying out people management activities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws, including:
      • Actively participating in the recruitment and development of their team members
      • Planning, assigning and directing work
      • Appraising performance, providing feedback and coaching, and rewarding and disciplining employees
    • Building individual skills and capabilities through learning opportunities such as training courses and on-the-job training; strive to be a process champion or expert for the end-to-end OTC process
    • Contributing to the overall learning of the OTC Team through sharing of best work practices and mentoring
    • Facilitating people and capability development
    • Leading and supporting implementation of improvements for process efficiency and quality, as well as control Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) 
    • Working on or drive special projects and continuous improvement initiatives; identifying opportunities to make the processes more effective
    • Participating in pilots or service rehearsals before major changes are implemented; conducting system testing for technology upgrades
     
    WHAT DO I NEED TO DEMONSTRATE?

    Required
    • University Degree or equivalent and significant previous experience in Order-to-Cash or a related field is required
    • Language Skills:
      • English
      • One second language: Spanish, Italian, French or German (depending on specific market assignment) - Preferred
    • Supervisory experience
    • Customer relationship management experience
    • Computer skills, including experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Office
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills    
    • Deep analytical and problem solving skills
    • Strong negotiation and decision making skills
    • Sense of urgency and ownership of resolution, meeting established performance objectives and customer commitments
    • Strong collaboration skills and ability to partner with key internal/external customer to drive change & continuous improvement
    • Strong knowledge of collections, deductions, and/or customer service  preferred
    • Ability to assess financial condition of a company and ongoing viability
    Preferred
    • Ability to work in a  team environment
    • Solid time management skills
    • Strong knowledge of service centre processes and procedures
    • Ability to manage multiple and sometimes conflicting priorities and specific time constraint
    • Experience working in a shared services, process driven or service centre environment
    • Expertise in Order-to-Cash function including best practices, technologies, processes, procedures and tools
    • Training and certification in Six Sigma or LEAN
    • Experience working for a multinational organization and working with colleagues internationally
    • Processed and Packaged foods industry experience
