CAD Engineer (with German language)

As a CAD Engineer, you will responsible for the creation, printing and distribution of all project relevant CAD drawings and typical content of the CAD drawings are: electrical wiring diagrams and the associated HVAC schematics.

Job requirements:

1. Must have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
• Minimum 1 year experience with CAD engineering tools (AutoCAD, Catia, SolidWorks, Pro/Engineer, Revit etc)
• Good understanding of electrical wiring diagrams (24/230/400V)
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills
• Advanced English and Medium/Advanced German (at least B1) skills
• Good communication skills and team spirit

2. Nice to have:

• HVAC domain knowledge
• CAD programs (EPLAN)
• VISIO Programming
• Previous experience working with complex technical solutions

Responsibilities:

• Creation, printing and distribution of all CAD drawings and documentation, required in the project. Main tools used are EPLAN and VISIO.
• Close collaboration with the project team to create the required project submittals, using the most actual CAD tools.
• Supporting the local project manager in the change management process of the project to ensure contract compliant deliveries.
• Supporting the claim management (hand-over, defects, changes, delays) with accurate CAD drawings and corresponding documentation and versioning.
• Software archiving and backup management for all CAD sources and associated documentation, until the submittals are handed over to the clients archive.
• The project CAD engineer is accountable for the end to end change management and control process. Further the engineer is responsible to edit the original drawings and to provide the „As-Built“ documentation for customers and the service organization, after project completion.
• Ongoing cost control, by applying the tools, libraries and processes in a most efficient manner to ensure the agreed engineering hours. Feedback to engineering leaders for library and process optimization.
• Establish a close relationship with the local team in Switzerland to ensure an efficient communication flow throughout the entire engineering process. Main communication language for this position is German.
