Embedded C Developer (Sibiu)

ALTEN Romania, part of the international ALTEN Group - with a unique position as Leader in IT & Engineering Consulting, provides support for its clients’ development strategies in the fields of innovation, R&D and IT systems since 1996. The company comprises 2 divisions specialized on its core capabilities: ENGINEERING and IT. These two divisions are: ALTEN TECHNO and ALTEN IT.

Technical Requirements:

• Good programming skills in “ANSI C” or Model Based Software Development (control, data and state flow logic);
• Understanding of embedded concepts, good microcontrollers’ knowledge (eg. NEC / Freescale / Melexis);
• Able to understand electrical schematics and to work with electronic equipment (like oscilloscopes, multi-meters, power supplies);

Advantage:
• Knowledge of Automotive Standard SW packages (eg. Autosar), Vehicle Communication Protocols (eg. CAN, LIN), Diagnostics protocols (eg. KWP, UDS), Embedded Operating Systems (eg. OSEK, Autosar OS), Vector tools knowledge (CANoe, CANdela, CAPL script).
• Understanding of Software Development Processes in Automotive (eg. V-model);
• Experience in Electronic field or hardware development experience.
• Experience working in Matlab, Simulink and Stateflow (optional) and with production code generators (eg. Targetlink or Real-Time Workshop)


Other Requirements (Competencies):

• This position requires enthusiasm and eagerness to work in the embedded software development in Automotive, analytical thinking, good problem solving skills, motivation to learn and ability to work in a team environment.
• A Bachelor's Degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, Automatics or Computer Science;
• Good knowledge of English (spoken and written) with excellent communication abilities;
• Highly organized and detail oriented;
• Knowledge of German language is an important advantage;

• As Software Developer you will develop module-oriented solutions for Driver Authorization & Keyless-Go Systems or Software Platform Systems.
• This position requires a direct technical contribution to the development of the embedded software applications and will involve interaction with developers world-wide in order to analyze the customers’ requirements, to develop structured software concepts and designs, to implement and test software applications according to our software development process.
