    Requirements

    Required qualifications and experience:

    • Graduate, preferably with relevant qualification in distribution, logistics or transportation
    • English language (advanced level)
    • 3-5 years of proven working experience in logistics and preferably in local transport and distribution operations
    • Excellent communication skills
    • IT literacy
    • Ability to appraise and use IT packages and electronic communication methods
    • Knowledge of international import / export regulation
    • Strong supervisory skills
    • Good in decision making
    • Analytical & numerical thinking
    • Team working
    • Innovative approach and thinking
    • Flexible, target oriented, self-motivated
    • Ability to plan ahead and deal with unexpected issues

    Responsibilities

    Job Purpose:

    Ensure smooth running of logistics operations (storage & distribution) targeting to customer satisfaction through the timely execution of orders in a cost effective way.


    Key accountabilities:

    • Monitor performance via specific performance measurement system.
    • Ensure all partners (internal & external) are working effectively and efficiently to ensure smooth operations
    • Collaborate with other departments (i.e. technical dpt) for optimization of overall efficiency
    • Ensure sub-contractor (3PL) operates as per the agreed terms
    • Seek out and evaluate solutions for bottlenecks / special cases concerning transportation, logistics systems or customer issues. Analyze financial impact and proposes solutions accordingly.
    • Communicate effectively with customers and respond to their requirements
    • Understand, keep abreast of, and comply with local regulations that may affect the operations
