Software developer - Entry level

IBM has integrated Clarity Systems within its Business Analytics software portfolio and on 1st May 2011 we marked the start of the new IBM Bucharest Software Lab. IBM Cognos' products range from business intelligence to financial performance and strategy management to analytics applications. Several of the world's largest companies rely on them from running their financial operations to producing financial statements on time with accuracy, and ensuring complete auditability. The Cognos team is now looking to expand the Bucharest Software Lab with smart and motivated young graduates.

Bachelor's Degree
At least 1 year experience in Java, Javascript, HTML, Web (coding)
At least 6 months experience using Microsoft .NET technologies
English: Fluent

Preferred candidates will have a background in a technical discipline, a demonstrated foundation in software engineering, ability to work with a group of peers, leadership, problem solving, analytical thinking, multi-tasking, written & verbal communication skills as well as a focus on customer success. Previous work experience on software project(s) is a plus.

Preferred skills include previous work/internship experience in scalable enterprise software development, knowledge in some of the following: .NET, C#, Object Oriented (OO) Design, JavaScript frameworks (such as jQuery, Node.js, Dojo), XML/XSD, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) frameworks, Web Services (REST, JSON, SOAP, WCF), HTML5, Cloud, Mobile, Web, Relational Databases, OLAP.

Previous experience in working Agile or using continuous delivery tools is a plus.

Work on modern web based, mobile ready product development delivered on premise and on cloud. Our cutting edge web products are the front end to the market leading in-memory multi-dimensional analytic database server for thousands of customers with their mission critical planning and financial applications.
