Our client creates world class digital copyright protection products for the creative industries. They have over 1000 clients globally from the music, film, tv, software and publishing industries, from international market leaders like Sony and Warners, to independent record labels and authors.
Their main aim is to reconnect audiences lost to online piracy back to the rights holders in a positive and effective way. Their core product is an anti-piracy tool, built on a high scale data collection engine running on a distributed cloud architecture, that scans millions of web pages every day and analyses them for copyright infringing content.
They aree building a range of other products, all incorporating cutting edge technologies, including a 'big data' analysis engine. The company was founded 5 years ago, by 3 co-founders who all have backgrounds in the music and technology industries, one being a music producer/songwriter who has co-written/produced no. 1 records, and has worked with artists such as Kylie Minogue and Kanye West.
The company is headquartered in London, and has 12 employees, with multiple regional sales offices round the world.

Role:

We are currently helping them in expanding their team in Romania, by seeking a Senior Java Developer with excellent all round Java skills (front and back end), in Cluj.

- You will work alongside, and report directly to, a senior developer already based in Cluj-Napoca.
- The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years commercial experience of Java Development, including experience of both JEE and JSP development.
- The successful candidate will be developing additional functionality for MUSO's highly scalable Java based data analysis system (JEE, Hibernate, Spring), and also working on our client facing front end (JSP, JavaScript, AJAX, ColdFusion).
- The successful candidate will be a hardworking problem solver, who can think for themselves, is keen to learn new technologies and has a passion for building high quality software.
- They must also have good communication skills and a desire to become an essential part of the team (an excellent level of english is essential).
- This is a varied role, and the successful candidate will become a key part of the company's software development team who will experience all aspects of the software development lifecycle (tech design, coding, testing, bug fixing).
- The product makes extensive use of Amazon's EC2 Cloud Computing platform, and uses many popular open source Java frameworks.
