    Requirements

    - Follow and enforce Emerson Process Management and European policies and rules regarding IT management, security, standards and procedures
    Territory / Site IT infrastructure & Support:
    - Ensure optimum support for end-users at all times within agreed service levels and act as the Owner/Escalation point for issue resolution between the Business and the IT Community;
    - Ensure that IT relevant documentation is maintained and up to date
    - Support and maintain the implemented IT Infrastructure of European HW, SW and Telecommunication standards including:
    o All security standards to be compliant with the Emerson security policy
    o Systems and Data access — to be managed in collaboration with Service Desk
    o Backup and recovery including Disaster Recovery Planning
    o Asset management — including Hardware lifecycle management and SW licensing
    o Audit compliance
    - Work closely with the Area manager and Central IT Infrastructure Organization to ensure that the Agreed strategy is implemented and followed
    - Supports the appropriate level of service for a centrally provided and maintained IT Infrastructure for:
    o Server, clients, printers and other standardized peripherals
    o Data communication (LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN access and required components)
    o Voice communication (local and remote)
    - Legal, secure, controlled and documented IT infrastructure
    - Act as a Central point for all IT issues (Infrastructure or Application) within the territory and ensure engagement with the appropriate European IT Group (Infrastructure, European Applications or Divisional Applications;
    - Manage the IT Infra Structure Workgroup, in the Service Management tool, for above specified area, by solving tickets remotely or assigning to local resources, or solve tickets in collaboration with local resources.
    - Work closely with local resources to obtain knowledge of the specifics for the sites in the above specified area. Travel to the specified Area for training sessions.
    - Ensure appropriate Application/Infrastructure Security, Performance and Availability Management.

    Responsibilities

    - Education to degree level or equivalent, but experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
    - 1-2 years IT experience.
    - General IT Technical Skills, good knowledge of Microsoft Operating systems and other commonly used Microsoft products, software distributions tools and other PC Client based software.
    - Demonstrable Customer focus with good communication capabilities.
    - Ability to work under pressure and demonstrably action orientated.
    - Language knowledge: English (speaking / writing) and French (speaking / writing).
    - Flexible attitude towards working hours.
    - Be prepared to travel in the specified area and rest of Europe if required.

    SUMMARY OF ROLE

    - This is an IT Support position within the European IT Infrastructure Team with the following main responsibilities:
    o Remote User Support for the IT and Telecommunications Infrastructure for the specified territory/sites ensuring the utilization of HW, SW and Communication Systems are consistent with the European IT strategy.
    o Support, taking full advantage of centrally provided IT services including Design, Operations and Service Desk to meet the agreed SLAs.
    o Build the relationship between IT and the Business to become the recognized and valued partner for the delivery of IT Service.
