Experience with C programming on Linux/Unix environments
- Experience in embedded software development, preferably for network equipment
- Experience with cross compilers, debuggers, etc.
- Good understanding of Ethernet and IP networking
- Familiarity with GIT(or similar) and GNU tools
- Knowledge of RTOS application development ( Linux / NetBSD /VxWorks)
- Understanding multi-process system software architectures
- Experience with one or more of the following: POSIX threads, SNMP, XML
- Shell Scripting
- IPMI, SES, SCSI is a plus but not mandatory

A developer will typically be responsible for various programs and projects related to software development and ongoing support on storage systems and integration with application platforms. The current software is based around the GEM (Generic Enclosure Management) architecture, which is responsible for managing an enclosure's electronics along with its environmental parameters providing high availability in a platform agnostic enclosure management system that is scaled to provide product and technology evolution.
