    Requirements

    • Specific marketing or product management experience - min 3 years (defining the product strategy ); also from strategic marketing or maybe marketing analysis
    • Fluent English
    • Excellent organizational & analytical skills
    • Excellent skills in managing database applications (expert knowledge in Excel or Access is a must; PPT - basic
    Prior experience in Automotive is preferred.
    Must have strong affinity with Automotive related topics, particularly its technical/engineering aspects - must understand link between customer requirements and product strategy
    Can be other industries but must be relatively complex portfolio and combined engineering
    Preferably also SAP, DMM, TecDoc

    Responsibilities

    Key leader in setting the product roadmap for the EMEA Performance business through market research, general market knowledge, customer VOC, consumer VOC, informal discussions, internal reviews, etc. Fully understands competitive landscape as well and uses the information to decide what products are needed and when. Manages product roadmap from strategic standpoint including VPD phases of ideation, new product opportunity definition/creation, business case justification, and selling strategies. Keeps track of competitors and market pricing fluctuations to feed back into the group.
    Product Management
    Interface with direct EMEA customers (+15) including tier 2 customers/shops to understand product needs for expansion of the Performance catalog. Define new product opportunities including business justification, estimated volume, market price, and target cost/profitability. Identify holes in product line that need to be addressed or that are addressed by competitors that we need to fill. Align roadmap with market needs, internal capabilities, and engineering developments. Define value proposition and refine Segmentation as necessary. Lead VOC at all levels within target segments and internally to identify further product needs and expand overall knowledge to aid in decision making. Collect product ideas in a formal process for analysis and decision-making. Ideas will be tested against known market needs/trends gathered through VOC and market intelligence. Review all current products we offer and seeks areas for complexity reduction; identifies risks for worn out tooling; suggests product improvements to existing product line; ensures proper logo placement on products new and old
    Market Analysis
    Create a robust system for collecting, organizing, analyzing, and communicating competitor activities. Sources include informal discussions, email topics, the occasional review of online forums, web research, etc. Process will summarize what is happening in the marketplace including product changes; product comparisons to our catalog; pricing databases; and market perception. Develop and maintain competitor profiles. Use the information gathered to direct decisions and suggest long term moves in product, marketing, pricing, segments, etc.
    Event Support
    Attend events throughout EMEA region in support of direct sponsored teams and/or customers. Utilize events for OVOC to understand real world use of product and speak with actual racers/consumers. Events include, but not limited to, races, trade shows, club gatherings, customer events, and others as identified. Send feedback of event-related OVOC learning to NA Product Manager and NA Marketing Manager for incorporation into global segmentation and marketing.
