Professional competencies

Education:

• Computer science graduates (Automatics and Computers, Informatics or Cybernetics)


Basic Qualifications

• Linux server administration
• Network administration
• Good knowledge of scripting languages (bash, perl)
• GNU tool chain
• QEMU/KVM
• Network diagnostic

Preferred qualifications:

• One programming language (C, Java)
• ClearCase (user)
• Cluster services (Pacemaker / Cronosync)
• Oracle DBA

Personal competencies

• Intercultural communication, including the empathy to work in an international team
• Team-working
• Flexibility and availability to travel abroad from time to time

Languages:

• English
• German is a plus

Short task description

Setup and maintenance of Linux based servers, provide support to dev/test teams.

• Install and configure various Linux distributions (Red Hat Enterprise, Ubuntu, Debian)
• Setup kvm/qemu virtualization and virtual network solutions
• Configure DHCP, routing / filtering, NFS, NTP, NIS, SAMBA, SSH, etc
• Implement backup solutions
• Provide support for various in-house built tools, fix dependency problems, perform basic scripts debugging
• Open to learn new technologies (cluster services, java technologies...)

The activity will be performed in a professional environment in close co-operation with experts in Austria.
