Senior ETL Datastage Developer

We are looking for 3 Senior ETL Datastage Developers to join our Randstad Digital Romania team in a new challenging project. In this role, you will be part of one of the customer-oriented agile teams within the DataFabriek program and you will be responsible for designing/building/maintaining ETL processes for the information products migration team. Also, in you will be responsible for modeling the data in all layers of the data warehouse (staging, integration/transformation and presentation/publication layer).

About the project

The Data Factory project is realizing a new central data warehouse, the Data Integration Warehouse (DIM). The three existing central data warehouses will also be phased out and new work processes and competencies will be developed and implemented.

The construction of the DIM is realized using ETL tooling based on IBM InfoSphere DataStage. This requires the deployment of various DataStage ETL consultants within the scrum teams for migration information products.


Requirements

At least 5 years of knowledge and experience in DataStage;
At least 5 years of knowledge and experience in SQL, including the ability to write and solve complex SQL statements;
Previous experience with relational database systems and concepts;
At least 5 years of experience in data management, data modeling (preferably star models and (Data Vault ) and data analysis concepts, tools and techniques;
Knowledge of IBM IDA/IGC;
Knowledge of Oracle Warehouse Builder 11gR2, Oracle SQL and PL/SQL, TCL scripting, Oracle Database 11g and Linux scripting;
Familiar with working with large data sets;
Ability to understand the link between data elements and business concepts and their interrelationships;
Experience in working with project teams using Agile (principles, methods and preferred techniques);
Insight to validate business user requirements for accuracy and completeness of the proposed solution;
Knowledge and experience with management processes is an advantage;
Excellent analytical skills, research and critical thinking skills, and attention to detail;
Ability to work autonomously;
Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field;
Excellent knowledge of the English language, spoken and written.

Further developing/adjusting ETL processes for processing data in the DIM;
Migration of data from the existing DWHs to the DIM;
Design/build/maintain ETL processes for making data available to end users in the integration and business zone of the DIM;
Documenting the ETL processes and creating and maintaining data models;
Supporting administrators in resolving incidents surrounding the ETL process.
Contribute to the (automated) testing of the products.
