Cyber Security Intern (June 2024) - Honeywell

We have an opportunity for a Cyber Security Intern to join us at Honeywell, in a hybrid role based in Bucharest, where you will be a part of the Global Managed Security Services team and participate in managing the network infrastructure of Honeywell customers in the Oil and Gas; Hydrocarbon Processing; Power Generation; Pulp, Paper & Printing; Continuous Web Solutions; Petrochemicals; Life Sciences; and Metals, Minerals and Mining markets. Your main duties will include troubleshooting, network designs, solution implementations, assessments, and other related tasks as identified. This is a hybrid role, 3 + 2 days model.

Key Requirements

• Final/pre-final year of study in IT or related field (electronics, automation, etc.)

• Self-motivated with strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Strong organizational skills and ability to work collaboratively

• Fluency in English language

Key Skills and Qualifications

• Familiarity with antivirus solutions (McAfee ePO, Symantec EPM)

• Knowledge of Operating Systems, virtual machines, and security practices

• Experience with performance monitoring (WMI, SNMP, Syslog)

• Understanding of TCP/IP networks and basic firewall management

• IT certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Security+ a plus
