We are looking for a DB Admin who will collaborate with multiple teams and provide technical leadership to others on the support team.

Start date: ASAP

Working hours & location:

- Monday to Friday: 9:00 - 18:00 (EU TIME ZONE)
- On-site

Requirements:

A minimum of 5 years experience in the administration of DB2 UDB V10.x and V11.x, Partitioning and HA for databases
A minimum of 5 years experience in Instance, DB creation and setting up backup utility, troubleshooting DB2 UDB issues in Development / Test / Production environments (analyzing db2diag.log/notification log/memory tracker/db2pd, etc.)
Demonstrated experience in SQL (knowledge of DDL, DML), especially in the database administration and management area and other DB2 Tools is required
Demonstrated experience in Backup and Recovery, online and offline backups, export/import is mandatory
Demonstrated experience in UNIX (shell and awk scripting) and supporting DB2 on UNIX and Windows is mandatory
Demonstrated experience in cloning databases and migrating databases between platforms is mandatory
Demonstrated experience in installation of DB2 client and other DB2 related products is required
Demonstrated experience in database upgrades between various versions is mandatory
Demonstrated experience in change management process and configuration management is required
Demonstrated experience in Space & Backup monitoring as well as DB health monitoring proactively
Strong oral and written communication skills, especially in communicating with the customer and escalating issues desired
Demonstrated experience in 24x7 production support, and willingness to provide 24x7 support preferred
Demonstrated experience in the administration of DB2 Warehouse on Cloud (formerly dashDB)
Demonstrated experience with NoSQL data structures and use cases (MongoDB, CouchDB, Cloudant, etc)
Demonstrated experience in applying patches & moving data to the Cloud.

Serve as overall subject matter expert on Unix Server DBA technology supporting the databases in multiple enterprise applications.
Collaborate with internal and external parties to support data storage for stable and secure computing operations in a dynamic cloud-based environment.
Make recommendations for improvements to security, scalability, manageability, and performance across a wide variety of network, storage, and compute technologies.
