    AREA SALES MANAGER FMCG TRADITIONAL TRADE

    LOCATION: Bucharest

    THE COMPANY Our client is one of the important global players in the FMCG sector, present on the local market for many years, selling through distributors on traditional and modern trade channels as well as special projects in local KA and gas stations. Even though the company was founded more than half a century ago they never lost their pioneering spirit, the flexibility and ingenuity, the appetite for development and reinventing itself.

    THE ROLE We are searching for an Area Sales Manager who will be responsible for achieving the monthly sales value targets per allocated store in Bucharest and surrounding area by using different sales techniques. Reports directly to the Traditional Trade Sales Manager and is part of Sales Team.

    Responsibilities:

    • Responsible to achieve sales volume/value within the assigned area by effective and efficient usage of the allocated resources
    • Analyzing and understanding periodically the regional market dynamics, as well as the direct implications in the sales and trade marketing activities
    • Develop tailor-made tactical and operational plans, as well as the prioritization for top Customers within the allocated cluster area
    • Effective Regional Management of the sales allocated budget, having always a positive ROI for each initiative implemented
    • Reach the customer number target per TT with products (distribution and sell in)
    • Implementing the monthly / weekly Sales and Trade Marketing initiatives
    • Commercial Relationship Development at store level with key decision makers: LKA, sub-distributors and Traditional Trade
    • Reach POS Excellence in Execution in visited stores by developing shelf space, placing additional displays, reducing OOS, checking & correcting when necessary the Merchandisers contribution
    • Influencing orders (to increase distributor’s and direct customers sell-out)
    • Indirect Management of Distributor’s local Sales Representatives and Merchandisers
    • Proposes new and innovative actions to build and develop business in the area
    • Implements local initiatives and promo in Traditional Trade
    • Reporting (periodic, ad-hoc)
    THE CANDIDATE: The successful candidate will be an experienced sales professional with over 5 years’ professional experience and successful track record coordinating a sales team in FMCG environment as Sales Supervisor or Area Sales Manager, and strong market knowledge of the traditional trade channel regarding commercial approach, trends, processes and procedures.
    • University degree: Economic/Technical background
    • Experience in multinational companies will be a plus
    • Profile oriented to field work (80% field, 20% administration)
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Confident; dynamic personality with “hands-on” approach
    • Customer service orientated profile
    • Helicopter view, strategic thinking
    • Strong negotiations & people management skills
    • Excellent presentations abilities
    • Structured and organized person
    • Open minded, learning capabilities
    • Able to build strong relationships with key customers in the allocated area
    • English knowledge will be a plus
    • PC skills: MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
    • Clean driving license
