Essential Skills
- Minimum 2:2 degree (for current employees, where supported, an exception may be applied)
- Evidence of previous project management experience
- Evidence of ability to communicate clearly, succinctly, and confidently in writing and verbally.
- Evidence of good facilitation skills, for example, within the context of a project briefing
- Evidence of Relationship Management skills: Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues and Suppliers
- Independent, self-starting attitude with ability to work with autonomy on both structured (e.g. creation of a specific deliverable)
- Evidence of motivating and leading team members
- Ability to prioritize your time to meet fixed deadlines and the ability to address

Desirable Skills
- An existing project management qualification or a desire to work towards such a
qualification. (PMI certification as a Project Management Professional or equivalent)
- Experience of dealing with a diverse global team
- Evidence of skill to obtain management support to deal with uncertainty and 'political' complexity
- An interest in, and desire to develop knowledge of Audio-Visual technologies, Conferencing
standards and equipment.

This role will be responsible for:
Conference Scope:
- Delivering the yearly program of ITII Conferencing requirements, refresh of critical infrastructure, including Video Conferencing equipment that is End of Life (EOL).
- Lead Video Conference Planners and Analysts with technical tasks in planning, designing and installing new and upgraded facilities across Ford in Europe, acting as escalation point for issues.
- Driving process improvements to cycle planning, program and project management and knowledge management
- Lead the prioritisation of customer and IT projects. (Initially providing high level estimates).
- Research and investigation into new and emerging conferencing and collaboration technologies.
- Lead agile practices, planning of iterations, releases, retrospectives, and continual service improvement actions.
- Interface with the Global Product Management team to ensure EU projects conformance to Global Audio-Visual (AV) standards.
- Lead relationship management with our external AV specialist supplier AVI-SPL.
- Lead Bi Weekly meetings with both Global Programme Manager and Ford Account Manager to discuss project, statuses, challenges and continuous improvements.
- Act as European Account manager and escalation point for the suppliers onsite managed service support teams.
- Lead weekly supplier meetings to review and discuss current projects, timing, new projects and project estimates etc.
- Hold Regular 1:1 with AV Planners, Project Managers and Analysts.

More generally, this role will also have the opportunity to:
- Stand in for supervisor, as required, representing Collaborations Services in global governance forums.
- Lead special projects, sometimes sensitive or high profile, which require cross ITO involvement.
- Identifying ways to deliver better services more efficiently to support the ongoing cost and value management initiative.


The role provides an excellent opportunity to work with various customers, departments, sites and a variety of Audio-Visual Technologies. Provides exposure to many internal and external suppliers including Dell, AVI-SPL and CISCO. The ideal candidate will have sufficient technical background in IT to work effectively with technical SMEs – depending on preference and interest, there is also the opportunity to get involved in technical deployments.

Project delivery will be predominantly in Europe. The role will work closely with technical specialists around the globe particularly in the United States.
