Network Engineer Team Lead

Your focus will be to lead a team of network operations engineers providing level 2 support across LeasePlan’s global network infrastructure.

Organize and quantify incoming work for the team
Measure, report, and deliver team capacity based on workload and required skills
Support the day-to-day operational activities, set priorities, and lead daily stand-up calls
Ensure that the team’s workload is meeting targets
Work with Network Manager to complete performance reviews and set team goals
Point of contact (technical) escalations and assist team members
Work with team to plan changes and assist with CAB planning
Manage the on-call schedule
Refine team processes/ways-of-working, leading to greater efficiency
Work with the relevant projects and internal forums and workgroups to ensure alignment & onboarding processes
Administer and update knowledge-sharing forums for relevant topics
Ensure network documentation is maintained to a high level
Embed team in Agile processes
Closely align with Network Architects and Team Manager
Provide reporting and metrics for Service Delivery meetings
Maintain skills and knowledge regarding the modern workplace area, keeping up to date with the latest technical developments and trends, and feed this knowledge into our internal forums and workgroups

Skills Requirements

5 years experience in a lead role
In-depth knowledge of networking protocols, routing and switching
In-depth knowledge of core network principles and security (firewall, NAC, IPS etc)
In-depth knowledge of both LAN and wireless infrastructure
In-depth knowledge of remote access solutions
In-depth knowledge of SDWAN technologies
Experience working in data centers
Ability to work on own initiative and within a face-to-face and virtually team.
Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure.
Strong communication skills both written and oral.
Priority management skills
BSc in Computer Science or a similar discipline
