Solution Engineer - Automation

A Snapshot of Your Day

As an automation engineer with Siemens Energy, you will work in project teams with design / engineering and handover / commissioning of automation deliveries to both onshore and offshore plants.

Design work is carried out in our office premises in Bucuresti, often in cooperation with other international Siemens Energy offices. Travel offshore and on site onshore to contribute during installation, commissioning and handover, as well as supplier follow-up, can be expected.

How You'll Make an Impact

You will work in projects and the tasks will typically be design/engineering of solutions for process and safety systems including:

• Prepare function descriptions and test procedures for deliveries, as well as ensure that contract requirements, laws and regulations are followed
• Prepare substrates and perform programming of control and safety systems
• Follow-up of fabrication and subcontractors
• Assist during commissioning

What You Bring

• Siemens Energy are expanding our business in Romania and, and we are now recruiting automation engineers for our office in Bucuresti. We are looking for candidates with experience with programming control/ automation systems (PLC), Siemens PCS7 or similar.
• Experience from the oil and gas industry is a preferred qualification. This also includes knowledge about relevant rules, regulations and standards; such as IEC, NORSOK etc.
• Experience from EPC and EICT projects is an advantage.
• We value good cooperation skills and ability to communicate both oral and written in English.
• You hold a Bachelor or Master of Science degree in automation, cybernetics or equivalent and have at least 2-4 years relevant experience.
