Mechanical Package Responsible Engineer

As a Mechanical Package Responsible Engineer you will perform inspections and witness testing of equipment packages. You will also evaluate and respond to technical queries and non-conformance requests.

Siemens Energy Maritime and Offshore Center (M&OC) is a world leader in the development and production of power solutions for ships and offshore installations. This position is for Customer Order Engineering team based in Trondheim, Norway responsible for mechanical packages in EPC projects.

How You'll Make an Impact

• Mechanical equipment study work, design, selection, and assessments of Offshore
• Carry out work according to applicable procedures and work instructions.
• Prepare and issue technical requisitions and datasheets.
• Perform technical evaluation of supplier quotations.
• Technical contact with suppliers, customers, and other technical disciplines.
• Perform inspections and witness testing of equipment packages.
• Package follow-up work during mechanical completion.
• Evaluate and respond to technical queries and non-conformance requests.
• Identify and report any extra work related to changes in the scope of work.
• Review and approval of supplier documentation.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, codes, and standards for supplier's scope of work.
• Ensure timely delivery of equipment and final documentation.

What You Bring

• Bachelor's in mechanical engineering.
• Minimum 5-8 years relevant working experience, preference will be given to engineers with offshore experience.
• Experience working with any mechanical software Autodesk Inventor or UG NX.
• Experienced with multidisciplinary engineering.
• Familiar with NORSOK, and Romanian regulations.
• Communicate well in English ??? both oral and in writing.
• Good communication skills.
• Have a high loyalty to deadline and quality requirements.
• Ability to work independently and in teams.
