Data Designer

A Snapshot of Your Day

You will combine the knowledge in data architecture with the can-do mentality to create solutions valuable to users. This spans a wide range from data model and its implementation over ETL procedures to easy-to-use visualization and machine learning use cases.

You will bring many technologies together in solutions by implementing / guiding the development, testing and deploying the components, your main focus area to work with being Finance related and often originated in SAP systems.

How You'll Make an Impact

• Effectively collaborate and communicate with various stakeholders to understand data and business requirements and translate them into data driven solutions.
• Define and implement Finance Data Model / data architecture components, whilst ensuring data security and compliance.
• Define data requirements and policies.
• Identify and communicate the technical implementation requirements and provide guidance on solution design for use cases.
• Design & Implement Data Delivery solutions in accordance with standard design principles and conventions, including User interfaces for reporting / visualization.
• Lead the Operational Teams during the UAT and rollout and maintain Data Delivery solutions / handover to Maintenance support.
• Create and maintain solution documentation.
• Stay up to date with emerging trends and develop further our data technology portfolio.
• Collaborate on data strategy with business and IT leaders.
• Identify and address data issues to support to consistent data governance.
• Lead or contribute to data-related projects and initiatives.

What You Bring

• Bachelor university study in Engineering/Computer Science, or related field, with relevant work experience.
• A high quality work delivery and adaptation to new challenges by providing leadership and as part of a team or on your own,.
• A willingness and ability to use existing knowledge to rapidly learn how to further develop Data Delivery solutions using a given technology portfolio.
• A basic understanding of data processes in Finance and capable of analysing data.
• Hands-on experience in coding (e.g., SQL programing skills, VBA, Python, web services) as well as understanding of interfaces / APIs.
• Experience in databases and data warehouses solutions (e.g., Snowflake)
• Experience in visualization / reporting platforms (e.g., Tableau, SAP Analytics Cloud) and integration technologies (ETL applications e.g., SnapLogic, Informatica, Alteryx, KNIME) may as well as other platforms and services which supports machine learning (AWS).
• An enquiring mind, good at problem solving.
• Good inter-personal communication skills ??? able to explain issues to e.g., both a process and data expert.
• 6+ years relevant experience.

What You Bring

• Bachelor university study in Engineering/Computer Science, or related field
• A willingness and ability to use existing knowledge to rapidly learn how to develop Data Delivery solutions using a given technology portfolio
• Good written skills with the ability to produce clear and concise documentation
• A self-starter who delivers high quality work and can adapt to new challenges, on their own and as part of a team.
• A basic understanding of data processes in Finance and capable of analysing data
• Hands-on experience in coding and in utilizing frameworks (e.g., SQL programing skills, VBA, Python) as well as basic understanding of interfaces / APIs.
• Experience in varied technologies, databases and data warehouses solutions (e.g., Snowflake)
• Experience in visualization / reporting platforms (e.g., Tableau, SAP Analytics Cloud) and integration technologies (ETL applications e.g., SnapLogic, Informatica, Alteryx, KNIME) may as well as other platforms and services which supports machine learning
