Bid Manager for Solutions Hydrogen/ P2X Projects

A Snapshot of Your Day

Bid Project Manager will assemble and lead a team of experts to prepare a winning bid, whilst taking ownership of the end-to-end bid process. The projects which you will be involved in are shaping the hydrogen economy and support the decarbonization industry and power sector.

How You'll Make an Impact

• Responsible for supporting sales organizations in the development of P2X (e.g. Ammonia/ Methanol), pure H2 and Hybrid opportunities in the areas of interest of SES (Sustainable Energy System) and keeping management informed of such opportunities.
• You plan, prepare, and issue high quality bids that comply with customer expectations.
• You lead the bid preparation with a temporarily assigned team of experts as entrepreneur for respective project opportunities e.g from engineering, project management, procurement, commissioning etc..
• The Bid Manager exhibits high level of commitment, professional knowledge and motivation in coordinating the proposal team, with the objective of innovative, high-value, competitive, quality-assured proposals that have a sharp customer-focus
• You define the adequate business model and negotiate the way of collaboration with Regional Units, Business Units and external partners
• You support the winning strategy and optimize the overall project with a holistic view
• You identify and evaluate customer requirements in RfQs or RfIs and manage the development of the system configuration
• You establish offer documents, the integration of customer specifics therein and you coordinate the contribution of key roles supporting the offer
• You lead the bid and negotiation phase within the determined boundaries in time, cost and quality Ensuring order intake for the project, and interfacing with all relevant internal disciples to achieve this.
• You continuously challenge identified risks and opportunities with team members, from bid until handover to execution team
• You establish regular status reports (financial, technical and legal matters) and are responsible for the correctness of the regular quarter end closing of your project(s)
• Engages in understanding the global and regional energy transition pertaining to our business and the business of our customers. Maintains engagement and keeps up to date with industry and regulatory developments and business opportunities in the areas of renewables, energy storage, decarbonization of the power industry, hybrid solutions, and any developments toward coupling industries to achieve decarbonization

What You Bring

• You have substantial experience (5 years +) in e.g. handling proposals, sales, execution, commissioning directly related to the Energy & Power Generation industry or in similar industrial projects.
• You have good overall technical knowledge of and experience within the energy industry and understand the role of various technologies in the decarbonization of the energy industry. You have a good overall understanding of the technologies and equipment offered by Siemens Energy.
• You have an understanding of the commercial drivers which facilitate a projects implementation and success including project execution risks and understand the contributors to nonconformance costs, delays and techno/economic challenges in an industrial large scale project business
• You have customer facing experience and are instrumental in developing relationships, with external and internal customers, leading to the cocreation of technically complex project concepts.
• You have experience of project development and project execution, in similarly scaled projects
• You have familiarity with technical documentation and the ability to develop commercial proposals clearly delineating the parties responsibilities and obligations, supported with necessary technical content. You have strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills and have demonstrated interfacing with executive management
• Work experience in a foreign country or exposure to international business is advantageous.
